Going that extra step with sponsorships

ASB was the new official sponsor of the Auckland Marathon. But they got that sponsorship at a time when getting a good home loan rate was tricky.
So we launched a campaign called Run Down Your Rate. 10 Kiwis who were in the market for a home loan were drawn; the better they did in the marathon, the better their home loan rate got.
The campaign ran on social, digital, and TV, and big screens around the course - as well as a celebratory space at the end - gave the runners their dues and solidified ASB’s link to the ASB Auckland Marathon.
