Rallying a divisive nation to vote
The 2020 General Election included a referendum on two important questions: whether we should legalise cannabis, and whether the right to end one’s life should be enshrined in law.
These two questions, generated a lot of debate, both in the media and in the public sphere. Our task was to cut through the politics, the misinformation, and the biases, and ensure that every voting person in the country knew exactly what the questions were going to be before they even got to the voting booth.
To do this, we launched a question-answer based campaign. Predicting the kinds of questions people would ask each other about, then providing the simple answers.
We recorded and translated the work into over 10 languages, using a cast of roughly 40 voice artists and working with government translators - the right messages, for the right people, run in the right places.
